According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in the January-October period of the current year Ukraine's exports of steel products decreased by 4.96 percent compared to the same period of last year to 18.887 million mt. In October alone, Ukraine's steel product exports decreased by 4.3 percent compared to September,falling to 1.713 million mt.
In the first 10 months of the current year, Ukraine registered a 1.1 percent increase year on year in its steel product imports to 1.540 million mt. In October alone, Ukraine's steel product imports decreased by 7.5 percent compared to September, falling to 160,600 mt.
